Wenli is the founder of LCSH, who leads both teams in the UK and China, while also being the partner of Shanghai DongDao Law Firm. Wenli is a strong legal and business professional with a Degree of Master of Law from the University of Edinburgh focusing on “International Economic Law”. As a qualified lawyer in China & an accomplished entrepreneur, with strong professional knowledge, multi-cultural & multi-lingual background, she has rich experience and highly specialised knowledge in dealing with international businesses. With skills and diverse abilities in Chinese law consultation, legal risk management, enterprises compliance & risk control, mediation, litigation & arbitration (including multiple big class actions), negotiation, and delivering innovative solutions for clients, Wenli excels at helping clients with their business development, better understanding cultural differences, addressing language barriers and break the ice.

Nengjun is a qualified Chinese lawyer and a senior legal partner of LCSH Company. He is also the managing director of Shanghai DongDao Law Firm and an expert in enterprise legal risk management and mentor of entrepreneurship in China.
Nengjun graduated from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. He has over 15 years’ experience serving on foreign companies, private companies, state-owned enterprises and other enterprises, and specializes in in-house legal affairs, corporate finance and enterprise management. He also has very rich capital markets experience, for example, he helped with RMB 4 billion from The National Social Security Fund increase to CCB-Life.
Nengjun is also public-spirited and held numerous public lectures in top universities in China, including, Peking University, Fudan University and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, sharing the legal issues concerning start-up and graduate entrepreneurship, corporate financing and other issues with universities and entrepreneurs.
Shelling is LCSH Company’s financial and international investment expert and consultant. He graduated from Shanghai University of International Business and Economics majoring in International Banking. He also has a Minor in French from Shanghai International Studies University. He is a qualified financial analyst and accountant in both the UK and China with CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and Senior Credit Approver of ICBC (Industrial and Commercial Bank of China).
He is manager and team leader of Corporate Banking of Lingang Sub-branch, Shanghai, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) with more than 15 years’ practical experience in international business, financial markets, cross-border investments, investment banking, asset management and other relevant areas. Professor Li is our Senior Consultant in dispute resolution and legal risk prevention in China. He graduated from Beijing University and was also a visiting scholar at the School of Law, University of California at Berkeley.
Professor Li is an arbitrator of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Committee, with much professional experience in international commercial litigation and arbitration, financial securities, government financing, as well as other the legal service fields.
Currently he is a professor and doctoral supervisor in Shanghai University, as well as senior consultant in Shanghai DongDao law firm. He also holds a concurrent post of executive director of the Shanghai Law Society, member of the academic committee, director of Chinese Jurisprudence Research Institute, vice-chairman of Shanghai Foreign Law and Comparative Law Research Institute, vice chairman of Law Theory and Law History Institute, director of law of Shanghai Finance and Tax Law Institute.
Yiyi is a qualified lawyer in China. He is LCSH Company’s expert and senior legal consultant in IP protection and dispute resolution in China.
Yiyi graduated from East China University of Political Science and Law with a master degree and has over 12 years’ professional experience in dealing with IP protection, commercial litigation and arbitration, as well as labour management and other daily legal and management affairs of enterprises in China, especially those of foreign-funded companies in China.
He also has rich experience dealing with large domestic and international commercial projects, some of which are very significant in China. For example, Shanghai Magnet Suspension project, Shanghai Metro Line 3 and 7 projects, big restructuring and reorganization projects, business investment project and Holiday Village investment project.
Jiyi is LCSH’s legal assistant. She locates in Shanghai, China and is mainly responsible for assisting the team in China with daily affairs.
She graduated from Shanghai University of Political Science and Law with major in International Economic Law. Before Jiyi joined LCSH, she attended the winter school of international economic law held by Cambridge University and got A score in the final assessment. She also took the summer practicing camp with a Scottish Company and got highly appraise from the Company. Besides, she also had internship experience in Chinese commercial division of the court.
Jiyi has solid law foundation, excellent communication skills and strong ability to react quickly to various urgent situations.
As a former Enterprise Development Manager of Edinburgh Innovation at the University of Edinburgh, she witnessed the birth and growth of LCSH and great efforts made by its founder, Wenli Xie. After leaving the Edinburgh Innovation, she joined LCSH as its business consultant, providing business support to the clients.
Alison has rich experience in leading a great team to inspire and support entrepreneurs to rise to the challenge of exploring the world of entrepreneurship and business creation, as well as delivering guidance to early stage entrepreneurs through the process from initial ideas generation, research, testing and planning to funding, launching and growing their ventures. She also has professional knowledge and skills to provide business start-up advice, training and ongoing development support to new and growing businesses.
Sheila is LCSH’s senior business consultant, with extensive experience of business development consultancy delivering projects around the world, including – UK, Europe, Asia, USA, Canada, Middle East & Africa. With professional knowledge in a wide range of industries, multi-skills and multi-cultural background, she delivers high-quality consultancy services to procure business, research new markets, develop educational materials and support business growth. She has been supporting LCSH in various projects between the UK and China where we have been able to add significant and quantifiable value to the client businesses. Sheila is also a mentor within the Edinburgh Research & Innovation network at the University of Edinburgh.
Richard joined LCSH as EU-China senior business consultant when the company was just set up. His personal leadership vision is based on developing honest and trusting relationships and using his experience and knowledge successfully help business owners overcome international challenges. He has been helping a wide variety of clients wishing to do business in/with China, esp. clients in Food and Drink exporters, furniture and industrial manufacturers, education, professional services as well as creative and digital businesses.
As chairman of the North East Chartered Institute of Marketing and member of Regional Board, Long Term member of the North East England Chamber of Commerce International Trade Committee, Representative of NASUWT on South East Regional TUC Committee for Education, Representative of United National Youth UK at UNCTAD VII Trade and Development Geneva, Richard has a network of contacts in government organisations, large, medium and small businesses in the UK, Europe and China.
Michael is a senior business consultant at LCSH Company. He obtained BSc. Hon (Geology) at the University of Edinburgh and MSc ‘Information Systems Management’ at the University of Stirling. Currently, he, as the director of BlackRock Metals Inc., is a Board Member of the $700M mining metals project in Quebec, Canada.
Michael was responsible for the technical support to the Prosperity Group, both the London listed Prosperity Mineral Holdings Ltd., and the Hong Kong listed Prosperity International Holdings Ltd. (PIHL). He investigated and assessed potential exploration prospects in base metals, gold, coal, and industrial minerals in China and worldwide. Michael has a strong connection with China. He started working in China twenty years ago with a Chinese company and has developed an excellent understanding of its business culture. He can share his “hands on” experience of doing business between the UK and China with our clients.
Zac is LCSH Company’s senior consultant, specialising in dealing with UK-China business consulting, international relations and culture exchange. Zac was the former Vice-Council of the Chinese Consulate General in Manchester and worked in the foreign trade and foreign affairs office of Jiangsu Yancheng Municipal Government.
Currently, he is the Vice-Chairman of Jiangsu Yancheng Chamber of Commerce and the organizer of four chambers-commerce in Shanghai.
